In the wake of a fatal industrial accident at Manitowoc’s Grove Crane plant in Shady Grove on Feb. 2, Public Opinion looked at serious injuries and fatalities in Franklin County's workplaces. 

Below is a list detailing the 34 serious-injury accidents reported to the Occupational Safety and Health Administration from January 2015 to February 2017.

JLG Industries, 221 Success Drive, McConnellsburg. Nov. 18, 2016. An employee helping to assemble a standard duty wrecker was in the process of guiding a part into position. A component inside the part shifted and pinched/partially amputated the employee's finger between two sections.
